Marriage Anniversary at Green Gate Resort, Mulshi

It was 24 April. We were having our 3rd marriage anniversary so we decided to celebrate somewhere nearby as it was weekday and we wanted to go office on the very next day. 

Last time (for my wife's birthday) we already visited Lavasa so I canceled that option.

Since it was Tuesday I was looking for some pure veg Resort option within budget. While searching I come across Green Gate Resort in Mulshi and review was satisfactory. We called at their reception and confirmed our booking over the phone on 23rd April evening. 

On Tuesday, we left at 10:00 a.m. in the morning. Green Gate Resort is around 58 kilometre from Pune. We decided to go via Hinjewadi route. We stopped at mezza9 chowk for refueling and also had some burger at MacD just beside it and then restarted journey. 

There is road widening work going on all the way once you left Pirangut so we have to face lot of dust and patches on the road while driving. Due to this, it took us more time to reach at the Resort. We reached there at  11:40 am.

Route followed:

Wakad Bridge > Hinjewadi Phase-3 > Pirangut > Mulshi Road > Tamhini Ghat/Gonawadi > Resort

Resort is on the right side of the road. There is parking space available inside the gate for 4 to 6 vehicles. We went at the reception and carry out check in process. They insisted ID proof from both of us.

Resort management helped to carry our luggage inside room. 

There were three types of stay rooms available. Wooden Cottage, deluxe AC and super deluxe AC room types available.

We opted for deluxe AC room as they were having a discount of 30% due to weekday. Plus wooden Cottage rooms are at very bottom and at extreme backyard of the Resort. All three types of room is having AC inside. 

Room we booked was very clean and huge for Couple to stay. Even family for 4 (couple and 2 children) can easily be accommodated in this room.

It was 12 p.m. by now. Luckily there was no rush at swimming pool so we straight away went to pool.

Pool water is clean there is very large tree beside pool which gives you needed privacy. Since it was summer and hot outside, we really enjoyed swimming pool fun.

We spend some good time there. It was 2 pm by now when we came back to room.

After getting fresh we went for the lunch. Resort has their own pure veg hotel and it's open for everyone so many travelers travelling on this road do stop by here for quick bites or lunch.

Our package was having only next day breakfast complimentary. so we have to pay from our pocket for lunch. We ordered pithla bhakri as a mini lunch and Cheese corn balls as a starter. Both dishes were just awesome. Quantity is also enough for two people. 

Finally, We ended our lunch by gulab jamun with ice cream as a dessert. Then, We went back to room for some rest as we were tiered.

It was 5 p.m. by now. There are two selfie points inside Resort. We went there to watch sunset. It gives us amazing view of the back water lake and sun getting down slowly.  

Resort is situated on bank of lake itself so there is an access to lake from backyard of resort itself. But we didn't went there.

Resort also has some indoor games like snooker, Caram Board and Foosball so we decided to went to Play room and spend some time over there. It was good fun. 

Resort also having Table Tennis board facility over Garden area. We asked for TT bat/ball from reception which they promptly provided. It was good exercise for both of us while playing TT after a long time.

Now we were really tired and it was almost 8:00 p.m. We went back to room for some rest. Room was also having big LCD TV showing around 49 channels. Unfortunately there was no Wi-Fi inside the hotel. After spending some time in front of TV we left for dinner at around 9:00 p.m. 

Dinner: This time we ordered paneer tikka masala, Butter Naan/roti and half steam rice and Mirinda can.

Next day morning, we again clicked some photos around resort, had complimentary breakfast and then checked out from hotel.

Complimentary breakfast: There are many al carte options you can choose from. 

We had Cheese Onion Uttapam,  Butter Masala Dosa and 2 Bournvita glass.

While leaving we inquired at the counter and we come to know that Resort also have Day Package at the cost of 800 rs. per person which include breakfast, meal and evening tea. There are very clean changing room outside swimming pool where Day package people can change the room (for both ladies and gents).

Overall we had a good experience. They have nice, polite staff and super tasty Veg food. Though they can place some more day activities apart from swimming pool and play room.

Some quick tips and information as always :

• Green Gate resort is completely family friendly and is a Pure Veg.

• If you are a group of stags then they will not allow entry to Resort.

• Room facility does provide Toiletries like soap, shampoo, towels, tissue paper etc.

• Hot water is available 24 X 7 but you need to inform at reception to ON the Geyser button.

• Resort provide only one water bottle inside room as complimentary.
